This module highlights the importance of mercy ministry in the missions world. Most organizations and missionaries have embraced a holistic approach that impacts both physical and spiritual needs. Poverty, injustice, trafficking, immigration, and other topics will be discussed as well as the importance of incarnational living. Also, we will consider practical ways to assist developing nations with their physical needs, such as solar cooking, well drilling, community gardens, etc. We emphasize methods of helping without creating dependence or displaying a “hero" complex.
